Announcing the 2015 Minnesota Agroforestry Institute (June 24-26, 2015)

Agroforestry is a land management approach that provides opportunities to combine productivity and profitability with environmental stewardship, resulting in healthy and sustainable forestry and agricultural systems. To be offered on June 24-26, 2015 in Pine River, MN, the Minnesota Agroforestry Institute is a three-day training that includes classroom workshops and on-farm visits focusing on agroforestry practices. The Institute will provide all participants the opportunity to integrate the concepts learned into a practical farm plan. agroforestry_diomy3

The goal of the Minnesota Agroforestry Institute is for participants to learn about agroforestry options and how to apply agroforestry practices in their educational and technical assistance programs. Society of American Foresters Certified Foresters and Minnesota Stewardship Plan preparers will receive up to 20.5 CEU’s.
