Webinar: Habitat for Minnesota’s Forest-dependent Wildlife

Tuesday, July 18, 2017, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

The SFEC is planning a major event on forest management and wildlife for October 10 and 11 in Grand Rapids. This webinar will “set up” that event with a deep dive into the condition and trends in northern Minnesota forests. Dr. Mark Nelson with the US Forest Service’s Forest Inventory and Analysis unit will focus on aspen-birch and long-lived conifer communities. Relying primarily on data from FIA and the Northern Forest Futures project, he will also discuss likely future conditions for forest-dependent wildlife. Whether or not you plan to attend the October event, the presentation will inform forest and wildlife managers, landowners, and others interested in balancing forest productivity and wildlife habitat.

Speaker: Dr. Mark Nelson, US Forest Service

Registration: Register here to watch online or attend one of the broadcast site locations for free.
